LOW MAINTENANCE PLANTS

Variegated Butter Cup, Cup of gold, Chalice Vine, Variegated. Striking vine with glossy leaves and large showy white to yellow flowers.The flowers are truly spectacular, shaped like a chalice, 6-10" long, flaring open to 4-7" across. The five lobes of the corolla are reflexed, and each lobe is marked with a narrow purplish brown ridge on the inside. The flowers start out yellow and turn deeper golden as they age. They are fragrant, especially at night, with a scent reminiscent of coconut. Cup of gold blooms intermittently through the year, but mainly in the winter dry season.

This beautiful perennial isa terrestrial growing, primary orchid hybrid, a crossing between Spathoglottis kimballiana and Spathoglottis plicata. There are a few Spathoglottis kimballiana x plicata hybrids, which all look quite different, depending to the proportion of the parents.

Kings mantle - perfect ever-blooming hedge. Bushy dense fast growing shrub. Blue flowers resembling morning glory. Several of the best-known Thunbergia species are climbers, but this native of tropical Africa is a sprawling shrub, very useful in mixed beds or as a low hedge. It has attractive, small, dark green leaves and tubular flowers which in the most common form are rich purple with a yellow throat. Responds well to regular pruning and can be shaped into a very bushy shrub, though this inhibits blooming. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil but will bloom in partial shade.

Alocasia New Guinea Gold is a form of Macrorrhiza and had dark green foliage with pinkish petioles. It seems that for no real reason the plant will turn almost completely yellow for a few months and then go back to normal in an odd cycle of variegation. It is this reason this plant has been misidentified and misunderstood for so many years. A great variegated plant with a very unique personality. Plants can grow 6 feet tall and foliage will turn yellow as the plant feels compelled to do so. It is an oddity in the Alocasia and Aroid world. Full to part sun, Zone: 9 and up.

With purple and stems and leaves underneath, this is the most purple Alocasia. While not the largest leaf, its leaves feature a glossy metallic shine.

If you need a compact, pretty flowering plant for shade garden - this is a perfect one! This handsome perennial native to Cuba, Mexico to Central America, is from Acanthus Family. It has pretty bell-shaped flowers, white with a pinking-purple lip, contrasting with dark foliage. Anyone would be happy to grow it right outside the door! It can be maintained as a low growing border plant or grow into a bush. Low water needs once established. Shade to filtered light preferable but can take full sun as well providing enough watering.
