Ponytail palm, Pony Tail, bottle palm, nolina, elephant-foot tree. Palm-looking succulent with greatly swollen trunk base and the curved, narrow leaves. Very cute plants with large caudex. Drought tolerant plant that require very little care if any. Can tolerate some freeze.

Lady of the night. Medium size bush with large white or cream-colored flowers, which are very fragrant after dark. Shade tolerant plant, can be grown in container and as indoor plant. Can take some freeze for short time.

Dwarf Ylang-Ylang, small tree or shrub with highly scented flowers. This is one of the most desired and sought after rare fragrant plants. It is pretty easy to grow, stays compact and in nice tree-like shape. Flowers smell as great as full size Ylang Ylang tree, although sometimes fragrance may be less intense and requires warm and humid conditions for full aroma. The plant blooms year round providing warm conditions. It can be also grown as a container and a house plant, but keep in mind it requires bright light for profuse flowering.
This plant is seasonally sensitive: during cooler months leaves may drop or get yellow/dark spots. New leaves will regrow with warm temperatures (above 70F). It is still available for purchase but do not order if leaves appearance matters to you.

Night blooming jasmine. Garden favorite - the sweetest fragrance at night is intoxicating.
One of the most famous and desirable fragrant plants. Flowers are pale yellow to white, open at night and stay extremely fragrant until sunrise. Aroma is sweet, pleasant and intoxicating. Coffea Catura (Caturra) is native to Brazil. Despite that it stays much shorter than other coffee species, it is an abundant producer of beans. The coffee from catura beans is of the highest quality. It can also be happily grown in direct sun, whereas other coffee species prefer a bit of shading. It grows best at high altitudes but will adapt to almost any environment. Soils should contain adequate supplies of nitrogen, calcium and magnesium, and plants should be fertilized regularly. Catura, like other coffee varieties, makes a great houseplant with thick, dark green, glossy foliage.
Caturra is a natural mutation of the Bourbon variety. It was discovered on a plantation in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil sometime between 1915 and 1918. Caturra has a single-gene mutation that causes the plant to grow smaller (called dwarfism). Its name derives from the Guarani word meaning "small." It is also called "Nanico." Caturra's small size allows plants to be placed closer together, and its closely spaced secondary branches, which enable it to produce more fruit in the same space.

Illustris Colocasia is a classic beauty. The heart-shaped, large purple-and-green leaves of Illustris are huge, and their dark highlights are stunning. This elephant ear is a lover of moist shade, but does best with a little dappled sunlight. It will tolerate boggy conditions. Provide light shade to full shade and consistently moist or boggy soil. It is a strong fast growing variety that does great in container, landscapes, ponds and patios.

Introduced at the 2000 International Aroid Society meeting in Florida, this dazzling elephant ear became the most wanted plant at the meeting. Emerging solid green, the 25" wide light green leaves begin turning butter cream-yellow along the center. The color then pours down into the main vein creating a huge bold Y-pattern in the center of the leaf. Color then bursts into the lateral (side) veins and begins its march to the margins. Coloring starts in spring, shortly after the first leaves mature. It sends out lots of side stolons which will root into the soil where moisture is adequate. The more moisture the larger the plant will grow.
Colocasia White Lava is similar to Colocasia Nancys Revenge but White Lava produces glossy red petioles whereas Nancys Revenge has green petioles.

Large glossy green leaves are adorned with a wide band of creamy white down the center of each leaf. Veins are bright purple. There is also a distinct purple spot in the heart of each leaf. Perfect for large containers, garden borders, or mass landscape plantings. The large, glossy green leaves develop a striking creamy-white band down the center of each leaf that radiates out into the side veins as the leaf matures creating a stunning specimen that is attractive and eye-catching. Young plants come as green leaf, then start showing "white lava flow" as they develop.
Colocasia White Lava is similar to Colocasia Nancys Revenge but White Lava produces glossy red petioles whereas Nancys Revenge has green petioles.

As with most epiphytes, the Columnea group should be planted in a fairly open and well-drained medium. They will tolerate some drought, but best growth and flowering will occur when they are kept evenly moist with moderate regular fertilizer. If grown in a window under room conditions, they will tolerate cool temperatures better than dry heat during the winter. Under cool conditions, it is much better to underwater than to overwater. The plant is displayed to best advantage in a hanging basket, where the broad surface area allows the trailing stems to root down at intervals and send out abundant side-shoots, perfect as hanging or trailing plant.
These plants require high humidity and warmth throughout the growing season, as well as strong, but not direct, light. These plants are perfect for a greenhouse, sunroom or conservatory.
Perfect for hanging baskets/pots to best display their lovely cascading stems and attractive flowers or in containers placed on a pedestal or windowsill. The plant can be kept in a bathroom window sill or kitchen for increased humidity.

Powderpuff Combretum - very showy beautiful vining shrub with red flowers. Can be trained into a small tree standard. Easy to grow and undemanding, it only requires regular water to establish, then can be drought tolerant. Blooms almost year round in warm climates. Responds well to pruning.

Variegated Spiral Ginger. Originally from South America, this ginger is very popular in Hawaii and Florida. The actual name is C. arabicus variegata and it is labeled Costus amazonicus variegata almost everywhere. Spiraling stems rise with a strong white variegation and topped with elegant pure white flowers with yellow centers. Takes both sun and shade, moist soil and lots of water.

Costus fissiligulatus is an amazing new Costus from Gabon in West Africa. It has a dazzling pink trumpet flower with a yellow throat. It is very floriferous with an inflorescence of numerous flower buds on a shortish plant of 3-4 ft that stands very erect. It is an easy grower with similar growing requirements to other gingers.
