BLOOMING SHRUBS

Miniature Orange Jasmine. This dwarf variety of murraya stays compact. The shrub gets bushy but stays short 1-2ft tall. Very fragrant flowers year round followed by red fruit. Good for potting culture and as a house plant. This plant is very interesting. The seedlings start blooming in small 1-2" size, when they have only 3-4 leaves! It needs lots of direct sun, likes to be somewhat on a dry side. Do not push it with fertilizer. It is VERY slow-growing. In 2 years it may grow as little as 1 ft tall, this is why it is called Mini. But the good thing is it starts blooming in few weeks to 1-2 months after germination!

This is true tropical shrub with small yellow flowers and brightly colored large red bracts that make the plant spectacular bloomer. Flowering season from Spring to Fall. Won't tolerate freeze, however planted in protected areas it is worth the care efforts!

Beautiful peach hybrid of Mussaenda. Named after Queen Sikirit of Thailand

Marmelade Mussaenda - flower looks so tasty, you wanna eat it! This mussaenda is a hybrid between M. philippicca Dona Luz x M. flava and is named in resemblance a brilliant sunset of yellow peachy colors. It is very vigorous hybrid that grows quickly to 7 to 9 feet. The shrub is covered with showy yellow and salmon deepening to yellow and orange sepals. They are smaller than many other hybrids, but they are very showy on the bush.

Fragrant randia. Medium size shrub with highly perfumed 1" wide white flowers that attract bees and butterflies. Flowers come in clusters. The plant has woody thorns on the stem that makes it look unusual for such a fine flowering shrub. Foliage is dark green, sometimes blueish. Can be grown in a pot and as a bonsai. The plant has medicinal properties - analgesic activities.

Brazilian candles. One of our most interesting shrubs. A vertical grower with green leaves and unusual dark pink and purple upright flowers with blue stamens that look like they are not fully opened. Flowers cover the whole plant sometimes. This plant excudes on stems and leaves, and after the liquid dries out, it leaves very attractive crystals, shining in the sunlight.

Glorious Flower of Cuba. Bell flower, Glorious Flower of Cuba, White horse flower. Extremely rare plant. Luscious perfume of bell-like flowers, reminiscent of warm, creamy chocolate. One of very few tropical plants that tolerate alkaline soils!

Shooting Star, Star Flower, Furple False Erantheum, Dazzler. Very attractive bushy, small to medium size shrub, everblooming with bright pinkish-lavender or off-pink 1" flowers resembling a star. Requires frequent pruning, otherwise becomes leggy. Lower leaves tend to drop, but when pruned, new growth forms nice dense shrub. Fertilize regularly to provide flowering.

Randia maculata, Randia longiflora, Rothmannia longiflora. Terompet Gading. Unusual randia with large fragrant pinkish flowers that have long mauve tubes and look like lilies.

Butter Cup, Cup of gold. Striking vine with glossy leaves and large showy white to yellow flowers.The flowers are truly spectacular, shaped like a chalice, 6-10" long, flaring open to 4-7" across. The five lobes of the corolla are reflexed, and each lobe is marked with a narrow purplish brown ridge on the inside. The flowers start out yellow and turn deeper golden as they age. They are fragrant, especially at night, with a scent reminiscent of coconut. Cup of gold blooms intermittently through the year, but mainly in the winter dry season.

Crape Jasmine, Carnation of India, Florida Gardenia - fast growing bush with waxy leaves and beautiful fragrant flowers.

This variety commonly has been called "Salmon" but it fact it is bright orange. We changed the name to avoid confusion with another variety "Apricot" (item 5973) that is closer to salmon color.

Unlike other tecomarias, it is more of an upright shrub with naturally compact shape and doesn't shoot long leggy branches. You don't have to prune it, it keeps naturally rounded, bushy shape. Even in habitat, it keeps form of a bonsai, a round nice dense shrub with tiny leaves and wonderfully scented flowers. It is perfect for bonsai culture and for everyone who has limited space but wants to enjoy wrightia fragrance. The perfume is sweet and heavy.
