Rare collectible species from Columbia. These plants not ready for shipping yet but available for local pick up.
Originally found in Mexico as its natural range, this plant comes to us with an interesting story. The Colombian grower saw leaves of this amazing plant sticking out of a trash barrel in town and saved the plant. They have since bred it several times and produced many beautiful plants. The

Alocasia x zebrina Reticulata - Tiger Elephant Ear

Large shrub 5-10 ftSmall shrub 2-5 ftFull sunSemi-shadeBog or aquaticOrnamental foliageSubtropical, cold hardy at least to 30s F for a short timeFlood tolerantUnknown name

The Reticulata Elephant Ear is a very rare plant seldom seen in the wild. Very narrow foliage with a blue to green coloration in an odd pattern giving it the name reticulata. It has elongated leaves with a patterned coloration and tiger-colored stems that you won't find in other Alocasias. This variety makes a great houseplant thanks to its manageable size. For coloration development, give it a little time to grow up. Elephant ears' attributes become even more defined when they mature.
A few years ago plants were selling as high as 150.00 for small starts. That was if you could find a grower and get on the waiting list for a start of this rare and unusual plant. The foliage is very narrow and sharply arrowhead or hastate shaped. Each leaf is a dark blue-green with an odd coloration effect commonly called reticulated. The foliage looks like the reflection of light off of water. This is an extremely unusual feature for any plant. With green and brown striped petioles. The plant can grow 3 to 5 feet tall in ideal conditions.

Euphorbia punicea - seeds

Jamaican Poinsettia. Absolutely gorgeous! A true Holiday plant, Jamaican Poinsettia one of our favorites. Rather slow growing, with a compact habit; flowers are spectacular (those are actually bright red bracts). Most profuse flowering is during Holiday season, then Spring, then sporadic blooms throughout the year. This pretty, evergreen, succulent small tree has high drought tolerance and can be treated like plumeria, however it is evergreen and much smaller size. Perfect specimen plant, great for a small sunny space in your garden, or container. We believe that everybody should have one!
