Alocasia x zebrina Reticulata - Tiger Elephant Ear

Large shrub 5-10 ftSmall shrub 2-5 ftFull sunSemi-shadeBog or aquaticOrnamental foliageSubtropical, cold hardy at least to 30s F for a short timeFlood tolerantUnknown name

The Reticulata Elephant Ear is a very rare plant seldom seen in the wild. Very narrow foliage with a blue to green coloration in an odd pattern giving it the name reticulata. It has elongated leaves with a patterned coloration and tiger-colored stems that you won't find in other Alocasias. This variety makes a great houseplant thanks to its manageable size. For coloration development, give it a little time to grow up. Elephant ears' attributes become even more defined when they mature.
A few years ago plants were selling as high as 150.00 for small starts. That was if you could find a grower and get on the waiting list for a start of this rare and unusual plant. The foliage is very narrow and sharply arrowhead or hastate shaped. Each leaf is a dark blue-green with an odd coloration effect commonly called reticulated. The foliage looks like the reflection of light off of water. This is an extremely unusual feature for any plant. With green and brown striped petioles. The plant can grow 3 to 5 feet tall in ideal conditions.

Artocarpus x integer (Jackfruit x Chempedak), Cheena cv. TopTropicals

Small tree 10-20 ftFull sunSemi-shadeRegular waterEdible

Jack-edak. This highly recommended variety has grown in TopTropicals garden from a seedling of Cheena (Jackfruit x Chempedak) that fruited within 3 years from planting. The fruit (20-25" size) is probably the best we ever tasted! It is super sweet, crunchy and has a rich, pleasant, excellent flavor. It has very little latex which makes it easy to handle when cutting up. The tree produces at the very base of the trunk, so you can prune it as short as you want. Our tree survived light frosts as well as 48 hours of 3ft flooding, with no damage!
Cheena is a natural hybrid between jackfruit and chempedak. The tree has an open, low and spreading growth habit and can be maintained at a height and spread of 8 ft with annual pruning. Cheena is a consistent producer. The fruit are up to 5 lbs, long, narrow and uniform in size and shape. The skin is green, with blunt spines that yellow and open slightly upon maturity.
Comes true from seed.

Capsicum baccatum, Brazilian Starfish

Small shrub 2-5 ftFull sunSemi-shadeRegular waterModerate waterIrritatingEdibleSubtropical, cold hardy at least to 30s F for a short time

The Brazilian Starfish is a uniquely shaped pepper. This is one beautiful chili with a shape much like a sea star. It's a lovely quirkiness - sort of an unexpected, but well-appreciated twist to the typical rounded chili - and, because of that, it works very well as an ornamental pepper. But unlike many ornamentals that sacrifice nuanced taste for looks, the Brazilian starfish is simply delicious too. Sweet, almost fruity with an eatable level of heat for most people. Packing looks and flavor makes this chili pepper well sought after by spicy foodies and gardeners alike.
This tall plant has a vine-like habit and produces good yields of 1-2 inch wide starfish-shaped peppers that ripen to a brilliant red at maturity.

Absolutely NEW perfume plant that nobody has yet! This amazing flower was recommended to us by our friend horticulturist John Mood, he discovered it in Thailand. We finally have the plants, and yes, they bloomed and fragrance is amazing! This Cerbera hybrid has beautiful striped red-and-white flowers that are highly fragrant. Fragrance is the most intense you can imagine and is much better than all jasmines and gardenias all together. The plant is very similar to plumeria in growth habit. Beautiful mauve colored leaves are very ornamental. We believe that this plant will become one of the most wanted in rare plants market.
