I saw this plant on-line and loved it. My dad has had a hibiscus plant for YEARS that spends summers on our back deck and winters inside. The dogs eat half of the leaves off in the winter and it gets rather raggedy, but every year it bursts back into life for a summer of blooms. I figured that if my dad hadn't killed it yet, I should be fine.

Whoops! I never read the little bit about pests, that said to NEVER spray with liquid malathion. I learned that on my own - at the expense of my poor, very-very dead hibiscus.

Definitely DO NOT spray with liquid malathion! At least it killed hte bugs, too . . .
