The royal blue form flowers are used as food colouring in Thai cooking. Skyblue rice, anyone?

I made a comment about medicinal use of this flowers. It is confusing information though. This flower is also called 'Shankhpushp' hence people think it is used in Ayurvedic treatments. But actually the flower used in Ayurvedic treatment is 'Shankhpushpi' and Evolvulus Alsinoides is the botanical name of that herb and the plant and flower is completely different. So people should be careful in discriminating these two.
