This is a common but underappreciated plant. Many people have it but are unaware of its subtle beauty as it matures. It has aerial roots along its stems that need to reach soil if the plant is to attain its true size and form. Train it along a moss-filled pole or use a large pot and wrap it around the base of the pot so at least some of its aerial roots can reach soil. I have seen in mature plants leaves that are nearly a foot across. For added effect, you can mix the green and variegated forms in the same pot, though the variegated form needs more light than the green to maintain its light markings.
