aurora apale Philippines 9 Nov 2013 | I would like to know would it be possible for your company to send this plant to Manila,Philippines and how much it would cost if I would pay in euro. Will it be possible that I pay you through bank transfer or postal money order. |
Donna Bellefontaine Port St Lucie USDA Zone:9 17 Jun 2011 | I have 3 variations of this plant, 1 tree and 2 bushes. They are all doing very well even thought I thought I lost one this past winter to an extremely cold spell. They all produce wonderfully fragrant flowers, esp. at night. Also, a friend has the tree that has grown to 20-25 ft, and when in her yard or patio at night the Ylang Ylang fragrance is breath taking. |
Eliu Serrano san juan, Puerto Rico USDA Zone:11 20 Mar 2011 | Wonderful plant, very strong scent all day and more strong at night, the scent show up just when the flower is fully mature (yellow), combined with heat and humidity (specially humidity), If your climate is cold or not enough humidity, you will not feel the fragrance. Fully loaded with buds when start flowering. |
Eric Santa Maria Calif USDA Zone:9 3 Jan 2011 | I purchased this plant about 2 years ago and the growth has been exceptionally slow. I suspect it's do to a shortage of full sun (only 4-5 hrs a day at best) but I wonder if it could be the soil. It has never had any flowers, and the plant looks rather spindly. I was concerned about its survival, but now I more concerned about its fragrance. Judging by other comments, no one has had any fragrance with their plants, which is the very reason I purchased it! If anyone has had abundant fragrance, I hope you'll let us know if you've done anything out of the usual that may have contributed to that. |
Albert Harris Bradenton,Florida USA 21 May 2010 | Mine has never had any scent at all either, after 3 years, no scent |
ash miami beach, Florida USDA Zone:331 3 May 2010 | My plant is not fragrant either and I am disappointed. I have had my plant for two years. |
Frank Homestead, FL, USA USDA Zone:10b 13 Sep 2009 | My Cananga fruticosa is not fragrant either, not even a little. |
Carrie Tacoma, WA 17 Feb 2009 | I currently have an ylang ylang tree but I am unsure as to whether it is dwarf or not. It has only grown 6-8" since I recieved it 4yrs ago. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to help it grow? And if the 2025 plants you are selling have fragrant blossoms or no smell at all? |
Letty Mateo Fontana, California 2 Jul 2008 | I would like to know if the plant Ylang-Ylang in one gallon pot is already blooming. This is the one available on in stock right now, 2025 Cananga fruticosa........... Thanks, Letty |
A Loeb Brooklyn, New York, USA USDA Zone:7 4 Oct 2007 | I ordered this plant over 3 years ago. It has thrived beautifully, rewarding me each summer till late fall with an abundance of blooms. When I take it in for the winter, the immature, young green flowers still continue their maturation and beautifully turn a nice bright yellow. To my surprise, my plant even buds and continues to bloom during the winter (although not as prolific as in the summer)! My only disappointment is that the large, beautiful blooms do not have a scent! Not even a hint of fragrance that ylang-ylang is known for. I am really puzzled about this. And this is true for every flower that my plant had yielded for the past three years. At first, after the first year, I thought that it was just adjusting to its new environment, but it seems that this particular genus I have yields odorless blooms, much to my dismay. But they still are pretty to look at. I hope someone could email me reasons or suggestions. Thanks in advance. |
Jacob Herzog Rio de Janeiro RJ Brazil USDA Zone:Tro 27 Mar 2005 | I have no space at home to plant the Cananga odorata tree but perusing your site (lovely site!) I found the smaller version - Any idea how can I have it here in Rio de Janeiro? Thanks, Jacob Herzog |
2624 Cananga fruticosa - Dwarf Ylang-Ylang, 1 gal pot Dwarf Ylang-Ylang, small tree or shrub with highly scented flowers. This is one of the most desired and sought after rare fragrant plants. It is pretty easy to grow, stays compact and in nice tree-like shape. Flowers smell as great as full size Ylang Ylang tree, although sometimes fragrance may be less intense and requires warm and humid conditions for full aroma. The plant blooms year round providing warm conditions. It can be also grown as a container and a house plant, but keep in mind it requires bright light for profuse flowering.RECOMMENDED FERTILIZERS: SUNSHINE Pikake - Fragrant Flower Booster Plumeria Top Dress - Smart-Release Booster This item is certified for shipping to California.
