Sedum mexicanum is composed of narrow soft fleshy light green "needles" on prostrate stems. In early summer, it is covered with large clusters of bright yellow flowers. Dry sun is not a favorite for it. It is slow spreading and makes a fabulous groundcover in the lightly shaded to part sun rock garden.

Easy, fast growing succulent which takes on fantastic red coloration in ideal light as in the picture.
