This mango is a new release from Zill, derived from Edward parentage and is similar in taste and flavor characteristics to Alampur Baneshan variety. The large green fruit holds a wonderful rich sweet flesh. The tree is prolific and so far has done well here in SWFL.

Cac is a selection from Vietnam, where it was singled out for consistent yields, a beautiful appearance and superb eating quality. The fruit are ovate and are 18 oz with an uncommonly smooth skin. The fruit are greenish-yellow with a lemon yellow flesh with no fiber. The flavor is uncomplicated, blending the elements of citrus and peach with a gentle floral bouquet. The tree is vigorous, with an open and leggy growth habit that requires close attention to branch tipping and shaping. The fruit have good disease tolerance and ripen in the middle of the mango season.

Carrie Mango - the flavor is by far the most outstanding feature of this variety. It has absolutely no fiber and extremely rich in flavor, sweet, aromatic and a pure pleasure to eat. You will savor every mouthful! Its compact size makes it an excellent dooryard tree that requires minimal care. Both fruit and tree have little to no problem with fungus or disease. Lack of color and firmness are the only shortcomings of this superb variety. To determine where to pick, look for a subtle yellow color at its base. Do not let the fruit drop from a tree, or it will bruise since it's completely fiberless. Many people agree that this is the best tasting mango in existence!

This mango (full name Xoai Cat Chu) is one of the most common commercially grown cultivars in Vietnam today.
It is highly desired for its flavor attributes and is exported from Vietnam to neighboring Asian countries for this reason. Favorite mangoes exported to Japan, Somewhat similar to Cac mango. Small, flattened oval shape. Taste: intensely sweet and robust. Texture: Smooth, juicy flesh with no fibers. Changes color when ripening - Green turn to light yellow color
Smooth skin with small wrinkles appear when fully ripe.

Also known as the Miracle Mango. Fruit come in bunches. Medium size tree. It is a Thai mango that fruits in the winter and often fruits in the summer of the same year producing two crops annually. The fruit ripens from November-January and sometimes July as well. The fruit are typically 0.75-1.0 lbs and have a golden yellow skin when ripe. The pulp is sweet and firm and has a very distinctive coconut flavor. The trees are vigorous growers with a densely foliated canopy and upright habit. This variety is an excellent choice for winter residents, and growers that want to extend their mango season beyond the traditional summer months.

Cotton Candy. A new Zill release, this mango is turning out to be a champion. The original tree is a Keitt crossed with Gary. It is a late season mango, weighing around a pound with good disease resistance. The real advantage to this golden fruit is its incredible sweet taste. Cushman is an excellent mid to late season mango that resembles a grapefruit in size, shape, and color. The flesh is bright orange, smooth, creamy, somewhat pineapple-like flavor and completely fiberless. Although the tree is not the most aesthetically pleasing due to poor disease resistance, one bite will make you drop the axe. One of the best tasting fruit!

The best Indo-China variety of mango. It is a premium cultivar introduced to Florida from Thailand in 1973. It is hands down the most sought after of the Asian mangos and for good reason. The fruit is firm, sweet, aromatic, completely fiberless, and is born on a tree suitable to a small backyard. The fruit ripens from June to July.

Natural succulent bonsai tree from Madagscar with thickened roots; slow growing, deciduous, dioecious pachycaul, up to 30 feet tall (9 m). It has very small (less than 0.1 inches - 2 mm) dark red flowers in late winter. The inflorescence is at the end of very short branches and are composed of half a dozen of flowers or less. It can be propagated using pieces of the tuberous roots. Stem cuttings need a soil mixture kept uniformly moist, also grow roots in water. This species is named after the collector Raymond Decary.

Burdekin plum is a tropical, rainforest tree which may reach 20 metres but which is usually smaller in cultivation. Leaves are pinnate consisting of 3 to 11 leaflets. They are dark, shiny green with bronze new growth. Flowers are relatively inconspicuous with male and female flowers occurring on separate trees. The fruits are large and fleshy and, when ripe, are deep purple in color.

The fruits of P.timorense has received some attention as "bush tucker". The flavour is palatable and, although fairly astringent, can be made into excellent jams.

The tree is an hardy and attractive species for subtropical and tropical areas. It is fairly slow growing and is best suited to well drained, reasonably rich soils.

Propagation is usually carried out from seed.
