Beautiful vinous flowers open in the morning, and by 3-4 pm they convolve into a curious fico-like knot. Flowers cover the bush several times a year. Very similar to H. acetosella, this edible hibiscus is rich of vitamin C. All parts of the plant are edible and can be used for delicious tea or in a salad.
