Hi,
I have this plant in my back yard for 3 years now. Its lived though the winter time, but it bears no fruit at all. I wonder if I was using the wrong fertilizer.

I am excited you have this tree. I havn't seen it anywhere else. I grew up eating these from my Grandmothers tree in Everglades City. Fl. The tree is still there (about 35 years old). There are others in the area. Locals called them Gooseberries. I like them as a fresh fruit but they are tart with a slight bitter taste. I'm sure it is an aquired taste for a newbie. I love this tree and hope to visit you soon to pick one up.

Pickled lol ew! This fruit is best eaten candied, and if you like sour then fresh off the tree will do. I can't imagine how they would taste pickled,Lol! they are so sour!
Mmy mother used to make a delicious recipe with them.
Where can I purchase a tree or seeds or the fresh fruit itself?
