 | Aloysia gratissima, Lippia lycioides, Aloysia lycioides, Aloysia virgata Family: Verbenaceae Almond Bush, Whitebrush, Beebrush Origin: Mexico, South America            Slender, densely branched deciduous shrub, 3 to 10 feet tall, 8 feet in spread. Fragrant foliage. White to yellow flowers appear in spring to fall with strong vanilla scent. (Aloysia virgata has strong almond scent). 1 to 3 inch spikes. Flowers attractive to butterflies and bees. This is a honey plant. Aloysia gratissima is toxic to horses. Low water use, drought tolerant, tolerates poorly drained soils. |  |
