the black alocasia is named black velvet..it's a hybrid alocasia from thailand and it's a dwarf alocasia..some of them are infertile, because i have some of them..
the red aglaonema red gold name is butterfly, it's a hybrid too.. from a. commutatum vs a. rontondum..the a. rontondum (origins: Indonesia)are the cultivars that brings red colour to all aglaonema, the commutatum is the cultivars that bring pink for the stem..but i dont know for sure about another species to get the ruffles for the leaves..well, i have it too but mine's not from thailand, it's from the hybridizer (the person who actually hybridize it)in indonesia..(it surery have a lot difference)..well..if u plant them, it needs a porous media and dont water it too much.

Two of the pictures above are Anthurium species, not Alocasia. The fourth in the third row and the first in the fourth row are Anthuriums.

  1062 Alocasia Stingray
This very fast growing and easy care plant is an unusual looking Alocasia. It originates from Thailand. The rounded leaves have the normal lobed rear but come to a long point and truly resemble the body of a stingray complete with tail. Grows to 6 feet Dying back in colder climate. This still doesn't kill it. According to different sources it's hardy to Zone 8 or 9.
