'Poorinda Ballerina' is an upright, evergreen shrub with dark-green, spiny leaves. The foliage is pleasantly perfumed. In late spring to early summer, it bears a profusion of pale-lilac, orchid-like flowers. It is hardier than many other mint bushes and prefers a moist, well drained position with some shelter from direct summer sun.
