   3936 Capparis sandwichiana - seeds
Hawaiian Caper, Maiapilo, Pua Pilo.
LOw, sprawling shrub. The flowers are 2 to 4 inches in diameter and consist of a mass of stamens surrounded by 4 petals. The fragrant, off-white to pink flowers open after sunset and by morning have aged to pale pink. It is an endemic species and is considered "vulnerable" - likely to become endangered in the near future.
